MARGARET BOLANLE IDOWU FABIYI (REV. Mrs.)

Chief (Mrs.) Bolanle Fabiyi ordained by Almighty God as a one person conglomerate and woman of many parts was born in 1945 to the Late Bishop of Ondo Diocese of the Anglican Communion Rt. Rev. Emmanuel Olawale Idowu. Her upbringing no doubt made her respectfu I and highly religious from cradle till date. She is a professional secretary, an IATA licenced travel agent, a well recognized and reliable Tour operator of Nigeria, she also holds a Diploma in Theology.

Happily married to Chief Ebenezer Adeyemi Fabiyi an Executive Director of United Nigeria Textile Plc. and blessed with children evenly divided into male and female. In Travels Tourism and Culture. she is a wonderful technocrat, innovator and initiator of programmes and campaigns for the Worldwide recognition of the cultural tourism potentials of Nigeria.

Black History Month: Nigeria (BHM) her brain child has come to stay. Chief (Mrs.) M. B. Fabiyi also established WIFWETN an acronym of Webisco International Federation of women entrepreneurs and tourism of Nigeria. An NGO which is in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Culture, Tourism and National orientation to network the 36 states of Nigeria plus Abuja to implement Peace Tourism and facilitate the opening of gateway to the influx of Tourists thereby increasing Foreign exchange earnings.

WIFWETN objectives includes: Forming Co-operatives, uplifting greater national consciousness in related Tourism. Business promotions, manufacturing, travel and tours, culture, fashion, entertainment and recreation amongst women and the general public at Local and International levels. Undertaking the promotion and rehabilitation of less-privileged children to responsible citizens. Undertaking the improvement and welfare of abandoned and disabled children. Rendering assistance to the needy e.g. widows and orphans, thereby helping to alleviate poverty, and also creating projects of awareness on HIV/AIDS prevention.

After the tourism consortium international (TCI) and other travel writers from USA and Canada completed the familiarization trip in Nigeria for the year 2001, they proclaimed Abia State as the pilgrimage centre for BHM series. Thus the State Government appointed Chief Mrs. M. B. Fabiyi (Rev.) as their international consultant on slave route projects. She was able to achieve all these with her affiliation to International Associations and Organizations.
