From our base of Amigos Hotel in Lubango, capital of Huíla province, we enjoyed several day trips, which included photo sessions at the village of Bimbe, the scenic Tundavala and Serra da Leba. The paved 150 km highway connecting Lubango and the coastal city of Namibe, was awesome. It included an engineering marvel, the spectacular 'switch back' , which we could see in its entirety from a viewpoint several miles from Lubango.
