Dear Valued Trade Partner: First, my sincerest congratulations for the success we are evidencing in travel to South Africa out of the US. Please allow me a moment to share with you some of the latest developments with South African Tourism. Since beginning our new fiscal year in April, we've been busy ensuring that we have all the pieces in place to help support you, our valued trade partners. In May we attended a very successful Indaba in Durban and were pleased to see some familiar faces at this exciting Gold Standard of trade shows. For those of you who attended, we hope you found your experiences in South Africa to be rewarding and memorable. For those of you who were not able to attend this year, we hope to see you there next year. In addition to Indaba, we've recently launched our BUSINESSUNUSUAL to help support those who work with meetings & incentives along with large group travel. Arthur Lugo is our Business Tourism Manager for this new branch of South African Tourism. If you have any questions regarding business tourism please feel free to call Arthur (212) 471-6263. I'm also happy to announce the appointment of Adél Grobler as our new Marketing and Communications Manager. She brings extensive experience to the industry from VisitBritain and has a wealth of knowledge about South Africa. She can be reached on (212) 471-6255 Also, completing our staff complement, we have brought Dean Jacobberger on as our new Trade Relations Manager West Coast. Dean was with STA Travel, and will be based in Los Angeles, CA. He joins Debbie Parker &endash; Trade Relations Manager East Coast to ensure that we strengthen our relationship with trade and work with you to sell our beautiful country in America. Both Dean and Debbie are currently conducting sales calls to meet with the trade, and later in the year, we are hosting a roadshow that will showcase various South African products/services and we will keep you posted on the details. Please call Dean on (310) 407-8642 for the West Coast and Debbie on (212) 471-6256 for the East Coast. Best regards, Dr. Felicia M. Suttle, President, South African Tourism USA |
