Ogo Sow
Currently based in Atlanta, Georgia but born in Kaolack,
Senegal, “Mr. Africa” Ogo Sow has covered news on Africa for
more than two decades,
interviewing Africa’s leading and upcoming political,
cultural, and news-making personalities and highlighting the
continent’s rich and vast opportunities.
Earlier in his career, from 1989-2001, he hosted the first
African television program on WYNE Channel 25 in New York.
Then, from 1997-2002,
he hosted “African International Hour” on WLIB-1190 AM.
In 2001, he founded Ogo Sow Communications Network, a series
of African radio programs for African Diaspora communities
in New York, Atlanta,
Philadelphia, and Los Angeles. Today, more than 10,000
listeners from across Africa and North America listen to his
weekly radio show,
He also serves both as a member of the board and an advisor
on Diaspora Relations with the Africa Travel Association
(ATA)
