Maasai Village
Totally Maasai inspired, this secluded and
luxurious Tanzanian safari accommodation
uniquely offers an adventurous stay in a
Maasai-style environment. Join us to
experience the traditional Maasai
culture.
E Unoto Retreat
has been methodically developed and
constructed with all environmental issues
and theme concepts in mind. Our lodge
resembles an "Authentic Tanzania Maasai
Village" and fits in with the surroundings
in a most indigenous
manner.
The construction
methods used by Maasai are as what is
expected from nomadic pastoralists. Even
though the factors regarding the
construction methods of the Maasai have
been incorporated into the methods used in
the concept and construction of the lodge,
the construction methods and materials of
E Unoto Retreat are much more
aesthetically astounding and lasting. The
handcrafted and imported furnishings and
fittings only complement our overall
theme.

We have 25
spacious bungalows, featuring an internal
diameter -28 feet/9.24m. Four of our
bungalows are honeymoon suites and four
are specially designed to accommodate our
handicapped guests. Overlooking Lake
Miwaleni, the external surface of the
rooms have a Maasai boma appearance, with
a unique, exquisite, internal decorative
Maasai theme.
There are
bicycles for those who like cycling and
you can also go bird watching around the
area. At the moment there are more than
350 species spotted around E Unoto
Retreat.
The setting for E
Unoto Retreat is straight out of a
"Hemingway" novel, nestled against the
Great Rift Escarpment. This luxurious
lodge has a unique "Tanzanian Maasai Boma"
configuration.

secluded and natural spot outside Lake
Manyara National Park, E Unoto Retreat is
