ITINERARY Saturday, November 16: New York Depart New York for overnight flight to Lagos on Nigeria Airways Sunday, November 17: LAGOS (L/D) Early morning arrival in Lagos. Meeting on arrival and transfer to Le Meridien Eko Hotel (5*). Early check-in at hotel. Welcome reception and tour briefing. Lunch at the hotel. After lunch, embark on a tour of Lagos including lagoon boat ride and on-site inspection of some city hotels. Evening at leisure. Monday, November 18: LAGOS / BADAGRY (B/L) Depart Lagos after breakfast for Badagry along the coastal road west of Lagos at the Benin Republic border. On arrival, check-in at Whispering Palms, Iworo (3*). Tour of Badagry - Old slave market, slave trade museum and relics, Seriki Abbas compound, Gberefu beach (Slave embarkation point) etc. Evening dinner with cultural entertainment featuring a Slavery dance-drama. Tuesday, November 19: BADAGRY / ABEOKUTA / IBADAN (B/L) Depart after breakfast for Ibadan. Tour of Abeokuta enroute - historic Olumo rocks, Oba's palace, Itoku market selling 'Adire' (batik) fabric. Lunch and inspection of Gateway Hotel, Abeokuta. Check-in at the Premier Hotel (3/4*) on arrival at Ibadan. Rest of evening at leisure. Wednesday, November 20: IBADAN / OSHOGBO / ILE-IFE (B/L) After breakfast, depart on an hour's drive to Oshogbo. Tour of Oshogbo - Osun shrine & groove and Nike Cultural Center. Lunch is at a local restaurant. Depart after lunch to visit museum & historical sites at Ile-Ife. Overnight Premier Hotel (3/4*) Thursday, November 21: IBADAN / KANO (B/L) After breakfast, depart Ibadan for Lagos airport to catch a flight to Kano. Arrival in Kano and transfer to Prince Hotel (3*). Lunch is at a city restaurant. Shopping and Sightseeing. Evening dinner and cultural entertainment. Friday, November 22: KANO (B/L) A full day tour of Kano and environ - Emir's Palace, Old City Wall and Gates, Gidan Makama Museum, Kofar Mata Dye Pits, Central Mosque, Kurmi market including on-site inspection of some city hotels etc. Lunch is at a city restaurant. Overnight Prince Hotel (3*) Saturday, November 23: KANO / ZARIA / KADUNA / ABUJA (B/L) Depart Kano for Abuja after breakfast. Visit to the old city of Zaria and Kaduna enroute - Emir of Zaria's Palace, Arewa House with historical records of Northern Nigeria, National Museum, and Hassan Kastina Park etc. Lunch is at the Jacaranda Restaurant and Pottery with excellent display of Gwari pottery. Depart Kaduna for Abuja. Check in on arrival at the Abuja Sheraton Hotel & Towers (5*). Evening at leisure. Sunday, November 24: ABUJA (B/L) After breakfast, embark on a tour of Abuja with visits to the National Assembly, Central Business District, including on-site inspection of some city hotels. Lunch and cultural entertainment at the Zuma Rock Cultural Village. Early evening transfer to airport for your flight to Lagos. Arrival in Lagos and transfer to Hotel Support Continental, Ikeja (3*). Dinner and evening at leisure. Monday, November 25: ABUJA / LAGOS (B/L) After breakfast, embark on last day shopping and sightseeing tour of Lagos. Farewell reception with lunch is at a city restaurant. Evening transfer to airport for departure flight. Depart Lagos for New York on Nigeria Airways.
