2003 Dear Sir/Madam: On behalf of The Travel
Partnership Corporation (TTPC), I am writing to you
to draw your attention to the travel and tourism
industry's on-going petition for its own sponsored
top-level domain name (sTLD) .travel. The Travel Partnership
Corporation, established solely for the purpose of
being a policy advisory organization for the
.travel sTLD, is currently represented by an
eleven-member Board of Directors (anticipated to
expand to 25 Directors over the next months, when
fully constituted), which embodies broad
geographical and industry sector
diversity. As the Internet Corporation
for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) is close to
announcing a date for the award of the sTLD, we now
need to ensure that our records of travel industry
associations are correct and complete so that every
sector of the industry can be not only well
informed about the progress of .travel but can take
up the opportunity of participating within TTPC at
the appropriate time. Therefore, we would be very
