Hon. Michael Afedi Gizo: Ghana's Former Minister of Tourism, Hon. Michael Afedi Gizo (holding award) has a business background prior, which prior tao his position as a government Minister, included Marketing and Public Relations. At the 1999 ATA-WTO Congress, hosted by Ghana, the Minister was elected President of the Africa Travel Association (ATA). He is a Member of the Institute of Public Relations for Ghana and has held membership in the GIFEX Council, the Inter Tourism Fair committee and the Constitutional Consultative Assembly. He is a Presiding Member of the Dangme West district Assembly. Prior to his appointment as Minister of Tourism, Mr. Gizo was Deputy Minister of Information and Minister of State responsible for Administration of the Greater Accra Region. He has worked in the Ghana Civil Service, as a Marketing/Public Relations executive with Kumasi Brewery and with the Ghana Cocoa Board on secondment, where he handle the Akaufo Check Scheme- Cocoa Rehabilitation Education Program.
